Background

2009 – 13: PhD in Energy Demand Reduction in Domestic Dwellings at Loughborough University

2007-09: Msc in Climate Change and Sustainable Development at De montfort University

Research Interests

Tom’s research interests are related to the investigation of actual energy use in domestic dwellings. Tom has monitored gas and electricity consumption and indoor temperatures to develop understanding of how and when occupants use energy in their homes. This work informs the assumptions used in building energy models which are used as research and policy tools.
