Dr Paul Davidson is currently BRE’s Director of Sustainable Energy and is responsible for the provision of technical and policy support to DECC, DEFRA, CLG, the Carbon Trust and other clients on all aspects of improving the energy performance of buildings. His team maintains and exploits a long-established model of energy use and emissions from the UK non-domestic building stock, which contributes to the development of UK climate change policy.

Paul also heads the team providing key input to the UK’s implementation of the Energy Performance of Buildings Directive, including the development of the calculation tool SBEM for demonstrating compliance with Building Regulations and creating Energy Performance Certificates.

An accomplished speaker with more than 25 years experience in all things related to energy efficiency in buildings, Paul is a regular presenter at conferences, seminars and industry events.
