Biography

My current research is focussed on the factors which affect the success of Energy Performance Contracts in UK schools. Energy Performance Contracting offers a mechanism which could significantly increase the uptake of energy efficiency retrofits but relatively little research exists to explain which types of project are most likely to be successful.

Prior to joining UCL, I worked for 14 years in the procurement of public private partnership projects, latterly leading a partnership between Southwark Council and Balfour Beatty which invested £250m in the refurbishment and rebuild of 13 schools, a library, leisure centre and a park.
