Neil Smith is NHBC’s Head of Research and Innovation.  He is a Chartered Environmentalist, a Chartered Surveyor and a Chartered Builder and has worked for NHBC since 1989 in a variety of roles, including Standards, inspection and claims.
In his current role, Neil is responsible for managing a programme of research through the NHBC Foundation. He also manages NHBC’s technical input into the sustainability and zero carbon homes agendas. In 2011 he was appointed to the government’s Building Regulations Advisory Committee, which provides advice directly to the Minister.
