Alison is a Policy Manager in the Homes and Communities Agency where her policy portfolio includes Existing Stock and Environmental Sustainability. Previously at the Housing Corporation Alison was responsible for policy concerning the Decent Home Standard. She project managed the development of Ecohomes XB for eXisting Buildings by the Building Research Establishment for the Housing Corporation, and the introduction of this to the housing association sector. She also commissioned and contributed to Fit for the Future the Green Homes Retrofit Manual.

Alison has over 20 years experience in social housing development and management. She has managed housing association development departments delivering substantial development programmes including working in senior management. Her development experience also includes large scale major repairs, re-improvement and rehabilitation programmes.

Alison has also worked with Local Authorities, and her experience incorporates housing management, supported Housing management and development, and regeneration and stock transfer work. She is a qualified member of the Chartered Institute of Housing, and has an MSc in Policy Research from Bristol University.
