LoLo PhD students Murat Mustafa (Loughborough) and Clare Hanmer (UCL) were among presenters at the Network for Comfort and Energy Use in Buildings (NCEUB) Masters Conference 2017 hosted by WSP in London on 22nd September 2017. Both gave presentations based on their LoLo MRes projects: Murat shared findings from computational fluid dynamic modelling of mechanical and natural ventilation systems in the UK’s largest non-domestic Passivhaus building, while Clare’s presentation focused on variation in UK home heating temperature set points.
Along with NCEUB’s Professor Fergus Nicol and Dr Luisa Brotas, the conference was co-chaired by Loughborough University’s Dr Christina Hopfe and RAEng Visiting Professor in Sustainable Building Physics Dr David Williams. Loughborough was strongly represented, with a further three students from the School of Architecture, Building and Civil Engineering also presenting during the day.
